Pink

So last Tuesday, Steph decided to get a little wild and add a pink streak to her hair. It looked really cool, and because I've NEVER done anything crazy to my hair I thought, what the heck - sure!

Weekend Recap

This past weekend was a blast! Went snowboarding at Loon - which was absolutely amazing. I have never been on such awesome trails before - only rinky dinky mountains like Liberty and Round top, which in comparison were just little hills as opposed to entire mountain sides.

I've never liked snowboarding with goggles - feels too much like swimming, so I don't use them. However after this past weekend, I am in desperate need of them asap. It was so cold that at one point, my eyes were watering so badly that I had to stop in the middle of the mountain to take little pieces of ice off my eye lashes! Crazy huh?

Overall weekend was amazing, I did feel a little bad because N, S and R were such good snowboarders/skiers that I was definitely holding them up a bit. And the only down side was that when I got home on Sunday night, I realized I had lost my wallet somewhere at Loon. I actually know where I left it - at the bar area. I decided after the ice issue that I had had enough, so I went inside to warm up and treat myself to a bloody mary. I got a bloody mary and sat down with wallet in hand. Then I went to put it in my pocket - but I must have actually put it in the zipper part where it is not a pocket but under your arm for ventilation - or whatever? So I must have stood up and out goes my wallet. Total bummer.

Snowboarding!

Its snowing again in Boston, calling for 4-6 inches. I don't mind the snow, just please don't let there be freezing rain!

I'm super excited, this weekend I'm going up to New Hampshire to go snowboarding! I've actually never been outside the Boston area (minus mhead), so I'm super excited to go on an actual mountain. Considering my experience with snowboarding is of the teeny tiny ice covered mountains in PA, I think I'm in for a real treat!

Where: Loon Mountain - good god, it says there are 53 open trails. Someone actually told me yesterday that this mountain is known for their snowboarding parks - uh I dont do snowboarding parks - really terrain parks? Jumps? Half pipes - yea right. I'm just hoping to get down the mountain in one piece.

Spain

My little sister has made it safely to Spain over the weekend where she will be studying abroad for 6 months. I couldn't be more excited for her, especially because I've just booked my ticket to go over and visit her! Her school is located right on the Mediterranean Sea, with palm trees and beaches everywhere!

I'm so excited! M, S and N and I all decided to do Secret Santas this year, so I asked for this amazing poster from Made by Girl! Thanks M for getting it for me, now I just have to find the perfect spot in my little apartment, and perhaps a pretty frame to go with it!

Snow Day

Sunday night Baltimore was lucky enough to miss the 'snow emergency' and escape with only a few inches. I was a little sad that I missed Bostons first big snow fall of the season, but I have a feeling there will be plenty of more snow to come!

Since we were only getting a few inches, I decided to take the risk and drive down to D.C to visit Bailey. I drove like a nervous nancy at a whopping 40 mph in the slow lane until I got down there. Happy to report, I arrived without any accidents!

We spent the night catching up and drinking wine. So happy I was able to get down and see her. Hopefully we will be able to get together in a few months, perhaps someplace tropical?? Who's in??

Christmas 2010

I hope everyone had a great christmas! My Christmas vacay:

Thursday:

1. Fly down to Baltimore

2. Get picked up by Lizzy and head to Dads house

3. Drink wine and catch up until 3 am - I have no idea when the last time I was up until 3 am

Friday: Christmas Eve/ Mere's 25th Bday!

1. Meet up with Abbie and head to Mere's house for her 25th bday brunch

2. Drink champs, and eat delish egg dish

3. Head to Moms house to wrap up last minute gifts

4. Drive down to Dads house

5. Go to cross street market for oysters and beer

6. Head back to Dads for tenderloin and prep side dishes

7. Eat my body weight in delicious food and wine

8. Play monopoly

Saturday: Merry Christmas!

1. Wake up and start making christmas morning breakfast!

2. Make batch of peanut M&M cookies - Dad learned that baking soda and baking powder are in fact different - got to love teaching something new!

3. Head to Mom's to help prep for dinner

4. Open presents- Woohoo I got a TV, see ya later 1997 square tv!

5. Eat body weight in christmas dinner

6. Head to Dads to watch the Towne (which was really good, but strange that you are rooting for the 'bad guy' in the movie...) and play board games

Sunday:

1. Eat brunch at Mothers - obvi got eggs benedict - my go to for brunch

Welp thats what I've been up to so far, hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend! Now I just have to figure out what to do about the 'state of emergency' snow storm that is on the horizons...
